A pillbox and anti-tank blocks which formed part of the Innes Links Coastal Defences, a scheduled monument in Moray that ran from Lossiemouth to kingston. The coastal defences were built and used from 1941-42 to stop any possible German invasion though after the Battle of Britain the fear of invasion was greatly reduced and they were abandoned. Heinkel He 111 was a German bomber aircraft designed in 1934. Through development it was described as a “wolf in sheep’s clothing”. Due to restrictions placed on Germany after the First World War prohibiting bombers, it masqueraded as a civil airliner, although from conception the design was intended to provide Luftwaffe with a fast medium bomber.Perhaps the best-recognised German bomber due to the distinctive, extensively glazed “greenhouse” nose of later versions, the Heinkel He 111 was the most numerous Luftwaffe bomber during the early stages of World War II.

Buckie House (also informally known as the Shell House) was built in the late 17th century. In the 1840s the then owner Alex Batchelor extensively decorated the house with seashells, both inside and out. Alex also went on the decorate his own coffin which was also adorned with sea shells which he charged people to see.
Restoration work was carried out on the exterior in 1968 and 2010. The house is situated on the corner of Elizabeth Place and High Street West which form part of the main road through Anstruther, this leaves the building and its decoration vulnerable to damage from large vehicles negotiating the corner.
Most of the photographs were taken from across the street with a few from the middle of the road when there was no traffic.

This timber carving of the archangel St Michael stands at 3.3 metres tall, with its large medallion engraved with a cross coming in at 5.4 meters and is suspended from the vaulted ceiling on the Scottish National War Memorial 9.3 metres above the casket that holds the Roll of Honour of the Scottish War Dead.
The carving is made of Scottish Oak and was made by the Clow brothers from a design by Alice Meredith-Williams.
The Scottish War Memorial opened in 1927 after the former North Barracks were altered. It is located at the North side of Crown Square, at the site of the church of St Mary, previously used as munitions store in the 1530s.
