ENG- Baelo Claudia is one of Andalucia´s most significant and well-preserved Roman archeological sites. The extensive ruins are situated on the Costa de la Luz, some 15km north of Tarifa, by the small town of Bolonia and its beautiful beach. The site´s important history rests on the former city having been a strategic point for trade routes between Europe and North Africa; the Straits of Gibraltar are just 14km wide at their narrowest point, and Baelo Claudia profited from this proximity. An aproximated model of the Cloister of the Kings , also known as Cloister of Processions, in Salamanca, Spain. I visited the city on my latest holidays and I was impressed with its arquitecture. After returning home, I felt the need to model some of the places I was in, and this is the first model. (Reference photo from http://www.saintstephenspriory.com/tourist-visit/lower-floor) First time doing architectural modeling with Blender, but I’m quite satisfied with the result. Fully done with Blender, from texturing to modeling, in the lapse of two days. I can’t tell for sure, but I think that this model has to offer a really nice experience on VR, so let me know your impressions if you give it a try!
