1 Un homme agrippé à une colonne, un soldat lui attrape les cheveux et un ange le bras, une inscription RANULFO pourrait indiquer le nom du donateur qui sauve son âme en finançant l’église (symbolisée sous la forme d’une colonne).
2 La Scène ou la Multiplication des pains, le Christ est avec des apôtres.
3 La transfiguration, qui occupe deux faces du chapiteau, Bible, NT, Matthieu, 17,1-8.

1 A man clinging to a column, a soldier grabs his hair and an angel his arm, the inscription RANULFO could indicate the name of the donor who saves his soul by financing the church (symbolized in the form of a column).
2 The Scene or the Multiplication of the Loaves, Christ is with the apostles.

![This ornately carved sandstone monument, said to weigh 20 tons and standing 2 meters high, is at the Archaeological Park and Ruins of Quiriguá, an inscribed UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Department of Izabal, Guatemala. The piece was 3D laser scanned in 2019 during our extensive documentation survey at the site by our USF Libraries DHHC team. We utilized structured light scanners at various sub-millimetric resolutions on this monument. Besides the rich iconography carved on this ceremonial throne, the text in the cartouches describe the founding of the Quiriguá dynasty (see also Matthew Looper's Quirigua: A Guide to an Ancient Maya City, 2007 for discussion and additional references).
