Hello there ! The previouw scene was a WIP, I wanted to push it a little further This scene is the final version about the Ntamak Island, originally illustrated by Fabrice Nzinzi, with its detailed texture, finished models, placements and Lighting I spent a lot of my freetime doing this project, and I am not gonna lie, I am super proud of it :) It was the opportunity to learn the HandPainting process within Photoshop. This project started as a small desire to model something medeval. I started on the catapalt, and from there wanted to animate it. However i thought it would be fun to have a looping animation. This then spawned the idea to create a character who was determined to siege this tower after after he formed a sort of rivalry with the owner of the tower. I ended up adding a lot of addition props to the scene that i hadnt originally accounted for. I also removed a character from the tower, who i put a bit of time and work into, but he just didnt fit into the scene well enough (i may do a seperate/individual upload of that character). This was my first animation (in several years) of my own character, modeled and rigged from scratch. Im not really an animator, but i thought it would be a fun challenge to add in a character and fully animate them. Modeling and animation was completed in Maya and Zbrush. Raiden is a particularly unique and compelling character, and I wanted to give him a MK9 redesign that would really stand out while staying true to his MKX look. I might have worked with the MKX model itself, if not for the fact that the cowl on MK9 could be removed - so I did, and added hair according to his concept art. His outfit is much fancier now, suitable for godly attire. Technical details: -Face repainted and resculpted to look like MKX. Skin tone adjusted, stubble removed. Cowl removed by paint-work, hair rigged onto his head. Hands also repainted for detail/texture and to match his face. -All outfit elements upgraded with surface details. Grey cloud pattern applied to white cloth areas, fabric texture added throughout. Cloth dynamics painted onto entire outfit. All metal areas now have an embossed surface. -Model re-scaled to MKX proportions and height, armature adjusted to A-pose. For this peice I wanted to create something that combined sculpting, traditional modelling and texture painting. I created a highly detailed ring with some deep engravings and then moved onto the ring box. I utilised the upper ring box to showcase a detailed ornate elvish drawing, and accented it with stars. This is an asset I made for a game project in development that I got permission to upload. It’s definitely different than other projects I’ve done, but that was my favorite part about it! The nest base was blocked out in Maya, brought into Zbrush to get the secondary sand shapes around the outside, and retopologized back in Maya. It was then baked and textured in Substance Painter. It was really nice getting consistent feedback from my art director on how to push the details on an environment piece. A weapon I designed for the Prosthetic Art Challenge by VaatiVidya on Youtube. The Kuru-Kiru, also known as Spring-loaded War Fans A ranged device designed to swiftly close the distance between the target. When launched, the adjoined fans create a whiplash effect, cutting consecutively which causes heavy bleeding. The momentum caused by the steel fans affect the user, carrying them swiftly forward. Utilizing this device, a shinobi can perform farther plunging takedowns. A one-day project. I’ve had this idea for a mournful hand clasping a rose for a while, but it never felt complete. Adding the pendant and chain I felt really added the needed story to really bring the piece together. Hand model was from MakeHuman, all else I modelled in Blender. Textures were done in Substance Painter, then brought back into Blender 2.79 for rendering using the Principled BSDF for most surfaces, except the topaz crystal heart, which was done with my own custom absorption glass shader. Yet another zelda fanart! I guess ocarina of time is such an Iconic game I couldn’t resist doing ganon! It was first sculted on Zbrush and then shoved into blender for retopo, the textures were made on substance painter, I guess this is the reason why my room was so hot this summer haha! I didn’t really like ganon’s design in smash bros ultimate and i always wonder how this fearfull creature would look like in hd, that’s why i tried to recreate the dark lighting of the orignal OOT, i think it makes him look so much more terrifying! They did such a wonderfull job with the lighing, composition and silhouette that I can only try to imitate such great scene! It was also mainly modeled with the original ganon artwork for ocarina of time, as there was no other artwork in this style, it made the whole thing much harder but it was a fun creative exercice, having reference is good and using them is appreciated but i just love wondering how something would look like in 3d, and is to me a usefull skill 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 48173 polygons.
