A moody little village and a mysterious jewellery shop. I made this for rendering, so the meshes and UV’s are not perfectly optimized. I didn’t use any purchased assets for this, so everything is modeled by me. Shaders were almost all procedural originally. I baked them into bitmap textures with Arnold. Model of Asuka Langley the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion! Posed as she is in her official artwork – spunky and tsundere. I wanted to do a chibi model of Asuka after working on the Mass Produced Evangelion character (also visible on my page!), and in the end I think she came out really cute! I like modeling cute things truthfully as well as figurative characters, so this project was definitely a lot of fun. It was once again a big learning experience though, as I really tried to work on things like facial topology, that anime-feeling style, and being painterly with my textures. I still have a long way to go of course, but this felt like a big milestone that I’m happy to have done!
