I uploaded the sword alone previously and planned to upload its sheath separately, but eventually decided put them together so it can have a complete showcase as a set. Both high res model and all the details made in Zbrush, painted the texture in substance painter. The animal on the sheath at first was just flat shapes with no details on it, and I thought I finished the model. Later on I looked at it again and again, eventually decided I should add more details and to make the animal figures more alive and to give them more characters, since this was a sword made for Paraoh’s battles, it just has to have that spirit. Painting the texture was another challenge since there are just so many details on the original antique. Made this piece with a heart of awe, and it was a great learning experience! Hello, this is reworked model of my old Mosin Nagant with PU Scope (my original model can be found on the Nexus as a mod for Fallout:NV). I made several changes, added some details (slings, changed the receiver from hex to round, I still think that the hexagonal receiver looks better, but there were no hexagonal PU snipers. I actually made PE scope, so I might do hex PE sniper one day), which increased the polycount by more than 50%, but it is still more than reasonable. And of course this one is PBR. Main Gun has 2048px texture, scope has 1024px texture. I really wanted to make a scifi character in his combat suit. I was inspired by Star Citizen, but Halo’s designs are really the best ones for this. For the process, at first I made the lowpoly model in Maya, then I went to Zbrush to subdivide it and put all the details needed with my own alphas. I baked the highpoly model in susbtance painter, and then I tried to make several smart materials to texture the whole character. I also did 2 different camos, because I needed a character that could fit in my upcoming space station project. I also rigged my character with my own auto-rig, therefore I was able to put it in several poses.
