“A glare from its single scarlet eye freeze its target utter fear” - Emerald Pokedex I made the Ghost Pokemon Duskull to celebrate Halloween 2021! The Skull is my project from last week and is modeled after the skulls in Legend of Zelda Wind Waker. Reusable assest FTW! Following the Wind Waker art style I made Duskull with a Toon Shader look. While making this I forgot that Duskulls do not have noses/nose-holes so I completed modeling and texturing then realized I need to go back and fix the skull lol. This little squirrel imp creature is my creation from the second chapter of Zacharias Reinhardt’s excellent scultping for Blender masterclass. This exquisite drinking cup for atol in the collection of the Snite Museum of Art at the University of Notre Dame (cat. # 1982.053) is adorned along the rim with jaguar prints on the inside and hieroglyphs on the outside. The previously unpublished inscription is one of the finest examples of seventh-century Maya caligraphy and contains rare variants of number 9 and TZ’AK. There are no personal names or place names. The text only states that the cup belonged to “the artisan of the eternal lord”. The orthography of the inscription is rather unusual: the scribe apparently tried to arrange the text so that it would consist of 20 characters in 11 segments (blocks) with an extra visual emphasis on the word “eternal (bolon tz’akbuul)”. It can easily be used in a game, an Arch Viz scene or animation. It was built to be versatile, so can be used as a art gallery, office, museum or modern home etc… Many of the Arch Viz style buildings (free or paid for) you can download online are made with sketchup or Revit, these are excellent tools, but when the models are exported they can be split into hundreds or thousands of pieces which is not always practical for a game engine. And whilst they can be joined together again, I created this modern building that is low poly, has 4 material slots, and easy to set up in a games engine.
