I designed this hanger to help rebreather divers dry the loop hose after cleaning. If you don’t completely disassemble the inhale hose, exhale hose, and DSV/BOV for cleaning, it can be easy for moisture to pool internally. Hanging the hose vertically, with the DSV open and the exhale side down will allow water to drip out of the unit, in the direction of flow determined by the mushroom valves. However, given the weight of the DSV/BOV as well as any additional hose weights, this method has a tendency to stretch out the inhale hose, as it supports more weight. The hose hanger uses a simple loop of cave line or other string to take the weight off the upper portion of the loop as it hangs vertically, adjustable for any length. The string supports the hose by the HUD holder or any other attachment point. This house was once belonged to a timber baron in a small Northern California city. But after the logging industry went bust, it’s owner abandoned it to the elements. While not a complete ruin, this house will need a lot of TLC to bring it back to it’s former glory. This house was an experiment for me in tileable materials and seeing how far I could get using nothing but Photoshop for texture creation instead of my usual go to, Substance Painter. Most of these materials started out with a diffuse texture I either photographed myself or found on CGtextures.com. I then created the normal, spec, emmisive, etc in Photoshop. I think this technique works well if you’re going to be putting the model into an engine like Unity or Unreal. The textures hold up at very close and they can be used across many different buildings or props you may have in your game. Also being able to add secondary textures would allow for more variations like grunge.
