Third project in 3DS Max! As always I had a lot of fun making this project but this one seemed to take awhile to get a well structured lion head. Luckily I have a lot of great friends to help critique my work during the process and it always leads to something much stronger than I begin with, otherwise this lion may still be looking like an angry bullfrog. My friends also suggested I have a bit of a fixation on things with gems in their head. This is a completely new mesh based off the shape and proportions of Yowane Haku. I had this bright idea to see what an MMD character would look like with a proper human texture on it and sort of anatomical accurate eyes, nose and erm… bits. I downloaded the original MMD character and had to take some paracetamol when I looked at the topology of it and thought I’d make my own with more detailed hands and ears as well. It’s an experiment that a pervert like me has wasted many hours of fun with. Still not complete and a bit of a screw up on the iris textures and the bottoms of the feet. My entry for Sketchfab Weekly #3: Heart ! When I saw that Sketchfab is hosting weekly challenges, I immediately knew I had to participate since I’m struggling getting projects done and instead work on them for what feels like centuries. For the topic “Heart” I was thinking about some sort of “modern” Cupid and decided to create a new tool instead of the classic bow and arrow. For guns I find the design of revolvers very interesting, so I went with that. My version of Cupid is a highschool girl who works as Cupid as a part-time job and uses this (obviously non-lethal) gun to make people fall in love. Because she is quite young, I chose bright blue and pink colors, decorated the grips with doodles and added hearts in various ways. This project was funded by a fiverr customer. Description before creation: “A stylised backpack with military/camping application, similar to fortnite style, open concept”. The Katana Golf Backpack object came with concept art of a similar katana stabbing through a bag. The aim of this bag was to pad out the brightly coloured objects in the game with some duller colours, I think it did that well, however after working on a large number of objects to re-create the fortnite style, I didn’t use any techniques that I found (such as duplicating the AO layer to give a hash shadow on the base colour texture) as this was made earlier on in production when I was trying to find my feet with the style. I created this warmaul for DAE’s Weaponcraft asssignment. A relic weapon designed for “The Scarlet Crusade”, a fanatical religious sect on a grand quest to rid Azeroth of the Undead Scourge up in former Lordaeron. It never had the possibility to shine its brightest light due all the corruption from within. The Scarlet Crusade always interested me in the time I played WoW, but never did I invest in their lore as much. Doing a deep dive I discovered about this lad Saidan Dathoran who was their “Grand Crusader” before being corrupted by this dreadlord.
