Martin B-26 Marauder is an American twin-engined medium bomber that saw extensive service during World War II. First used in the Pacific Theater of World War II in early 1942, it was also used in the Mediterranean Theater and in Western Europe. After entering service with the United States Army aviation units, the aircraft quickly received the reputation of a “widowmaker” due to the early models’ high accident rate during takeoffs and landings. This was because the Marauder had to be flown at precise airspeeds, particularly on final runway approach or when one engine was out. A total of 5288 were produced between February 1941 and March 1945.

The Messerschmitt Me 264 was a long-range strategic bomber developed during World War II for the German Luftwaffe as its main strategic bomber. The design was later selected as Messerschmitt’s competitor in the Reichsluftfahrtministerium’s (the German Air Ministry) Amerikabomber programme, for a strategic bomber capable of attacking New York City from bases in France or the Azores.
Three prototypes were built but production was abandoned to allow Messerschmitt to concentrate on fighter production and the Junkers Ju 390 was selected in its place. Development continued as a maritime reconnaissance aircraft instead.

The entire crew cabin can be retracted below the ships hull reducing the radar and target profile of the LAAW, its mast can also be retraced to lower its overall height allowing it to sail under low bridges and narrow sea lanes. The Light Amphibious Assault Warship (LAAWS), also known as the Guadalcanal Class, is the primary ship-to-shore connector for the US Navy. Its purpose is to transport US Marines and their equipment to islands alongside larger helicopter assault ships and landing docks.
There are two variants of the LAAWS: Block I and Block II, measuring 160m and 190m in length, respectively. Block I can accommodate 100 Marines and their equipment for up to 6 weeks at sea. Vasa was a Swedish warship that capsized and sank off Beckholmen in Stockholm’s inlet on its maiden voyage, August 10, 1628. After some early unsuccessful attempts to rescue her in the 17th century, Vaasa was largely forgotten.
The ship’s approximate position remained known until the middle of the 19th century, but no serious attempts were made to salvage it. In 1956, the amateur researcher and engineer Anders Franzén, together with the diver Per Edvin Fälting, succeeded in re-establishing Vaasa’s exact position and after several years of marine archeological excavations and preparations, Vasa was lifted above the water surface on April 24, 1961.
Since 1990 the ship is included in a permanent exhibition in Stockholm. A Trireme is an ancient warship used by Phoenicians, ancient Greeks and Romans. The trireme has three rows of oars and a bronze ram used to damage other ships in naval battles. This model is mainly based on the Olympias, a reconstruction made in the 80’s.
This kind of boat was seen in video games like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and numerous peplum movies.
