Surface scan of the skull of a bear from the D’Arcy Thompson Zoology Museum at the University of Dundee. Ursus arctos - Brown Bear. DUNUC 2030. Length= 43cm. Acquired by D'Arcy Thompson in Kamchatka, Siberia, during his Bering Sea expeditions of 1896-7. Scanned with an Artec Eva surface scanner. The resulting file is exported as an obj. and imported into Zbrush. The texture is captured during the scanning process and converted to Polypaint in Zbrush. Model based on the amazing Derek Laufman , Love his style and thought this would be a good character to modeling.
Had a lot of fun with this model and learn a lot, tried to improve a bit more my hand painted skills with him doing some metal and wood tests.
The model was made in zbrush , retopo and UV’s in Maya and Textures with Substance Painter.
Model has 12.7k without the outline and base.

Cooperation with our friends at G-3D-PrintThe front cover of the jetski was scanned using Artec Leo in 15 minutes (including chalc sraying, markers, etc.) and the post-process workflow took about 60 minutes in Artec Studio. The jetski belongs to the world champion György Kasza and his team. The purpose of the scan is to make a perfect fit bespoke fabricated composite cover, therefore some reverse engineering was necessary to get a native CAD data (step) to be able to machine the mold for the composite. For this, weve sed Quicksurface’s Autosurface option to get the nurbs surface based on the HQ mesh.
