Quiriguá Stela K - shown in relation to image taken in 1909 showing the west (right) and east (left) sides of the monument. The photo was taken during fieldwork at the site by Edgar Hewett, Director of the School of American Archaeology in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This carved stone monument belongs to the Maya site of Quiriguá, located in the Department of Izabal, Guatemala. The USF CDHGI team is working in collaboration with Guatemalan archaeologists and site management to record stela, monuments, and carvings, as well as terrain and site landscape details. A low poly Skipray Blastboat, from the Star Wars expanded universe / Legends. This older imperial ship featured a rotating wing, and in the post-OT era more often than not appeared with in rusty brown tones, often operated by bounty hunters or pirates, so I’ve included 2 different colorschemes with this one, aas well as a cockpit interior. I followed the top view proportions and scale of the original design, but I was curious to try a more streamlined look, with the front wings better integrated into the fuselage. I made a few other changes and also swapped on a turret inspired by the imperial troop transport as seen in The Mandalorian. The old official model was called a GAT-12 Skipray Blastboat, you could think of this as a slightly more lightly armed GAT-10 design, better at atmospheric flight. Still instantly recognizable by any EU fan! The model is not rigged but the moving parts are all separate objects with the correct pivots and parenting for easy rotating into flight mode, or for aiming the turret. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 14772 polygons.

Over several assessments I have made and worked on some assets and wanted to display them, but felt that they were lacking just being on their own. Many of these assets were toy like, and I brainstormed different scenes I could fit them into. I decided on a child’s room, and built some supporting assets to build the corner of a room. I challenged myself to complete it within a day, though I ended up using most of a second day as well. Overall it was a simple, fun scene, and a nice break from character work. Yes, this was a hell of a scan… it look me 10-15 minutes to walk the entire street. Shootout to @polycam app (@cpheinrich), that handled the capture from the beginning to the end of this 560 ft long scan (170 m.)! Try to navigate through the scan using the annotations. Clarion Alley is a small street in SF between Mission and Valencia Streets, notable for its world renowned murals. The medieval chess pieces from the Scottish island of Lewis are among our most popular collections. They give us fascinating insights into the international connections of western Scotland and the growing popularity of chess in medieval Europe. The eleven chess pieces on display in the Museum of Scotland were part of a large hoard buried on Lewis. The hoard contained 93 gaming pieces in total, including at least four chess sets as well as pieces from other games. This model was used in a rendered photo that I submitted to the 2018 (Edit: 2019) APS Metro show in Abuquerque as part of the “Digital Photography/Special Techniques” category. Unlike my CS:GO skins, this model was actually made by me. Made in Maya, and textured in substance painter, this NEC APC computer looks very nice in my opinion due to it’s 4K screen and emissive map. Weirdly enough I don’t remember this project taking very long. The model and texturing probably only took 3 hours and was made during school. But I am typing this at 1:16AM so I dunno. Enjoy my model. P.S. I included 2 STOS basic references for lolz as well as a motherlover one that didn’t survive the resolution of one of the materials. Sad. Edit: I don’t know why, but this didn’t make it in to the show. I honestly don’t know why. Even if the picture sucked (it didn’t) it should’ve made it in because of how few entries in the Computer Generated Art categories there were. Oh well.
