It has been operated by the United States Air Force (USAF) since the 1950s. I’m proud to finally present a project I’ve been working on since 2015: A diorama scene depicting the Battle of Hoth from “Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back”. My ultimate goal was to present drama and emotion through percieved detail while limiting my polycount as much as possible; Putting weight and motion into each hand-posed character to mimic the feeling one might get looking at a table with wargaming miniatures. The concept was partially inspired by the Halo 3 “Believe” ad series. Workflow: No external textures were used, only vertex color painting and some baking for PBR compatability and reduced file size. Done 100% in Blender3D. What I Learned in the Process: Getting to extensively use vertex painting was one of the most fun aspects of this project. I also gained a lot of experience in basic character modelling, and until now, I had never used Blender’s rigging system. A model I made for SCP Secret Laboratory’s Parabellum update, or 11.0. This model is based on the HK MG5, and replaced an older version of the Logicer made by another artist that had been in the game for quite some time. This model was a major step up for me, both in complexity and in execution. I faced quite a few challenges in its creation, but am quite happy with the result. I’ve also created a set of first-person animations for the model, which are used in-game.
