This is a Game Ready model of a Gas Pump I made while watching a course from Emiel Sleegers, a 3d environment artist at Ubisoft. For this piece, I followed the Game asset pipeline for AAA Games. I started by analizing the references, created a blockout, then a High Poly object. Then I turned it into a low poly object, uv unwraped, exported to Marmoset 3, where I baked the high poly onto the low poly mesh by using the weighted normals technique. Then I set the render scene, and exported my baked textures to Substance Painter, where I painted the textures. FInally, I imported the textures from substance into Marmoset 3, and set my render scene with a Turntable render. I was able to learn and to improve knowledge I already had, with some new tools and techniques taugh by Emiel. Thank you all for 1000+ followers! Even though I’ve always been just doing my own thing and and upload rarely I do appreciate you all for being interested in my work! This time I wanted to take my skills to the test and make an entire enviroment in a pixely PS1 style. It was quite the undertaking but I feel that it turned out quite well! I was inspired by those early 3d/2d fighting games like “King Of Fighters Neowave” and such, therefore the stage is designed to only be viewed from one restricted angle. Very happy with this one- a low poly pbr model of an A-wing, somewhere in between the Star Wars: Rebels and Return of the Jedi versions, complete with a low detail cockpit interior and pilot, and some of my best textures yet. The overall proportions and colorscheme are inspired by Rebels, but the engine tips, split nose and laser cannons are more like RotJ– really this design could go anywhere in the post-Clone Wars timeline. The glass material uses the same textures as the hull, so if you had a huge fleet and wanted to improve performance, you can apply the hull material to the whole thing to have opaque black shiny glass, and then you could delete the pilot too to save on his material. On the other hand, if you want to get fancier and add some refraction to the glass, the glass pieces are their own separate elements, so it is easy to select them and add a little bit of thickness with a shell/solidify modifier in your 3D software of choice.
