Thai statue of a male warrior with a bow and quiver. The Sandstone material makes this statue light and relatively fragile. Equipment used: Canon 600D (used around 175 photos in a phototent+turntable setup with continuous dual softbox lighting). Software used: Agisoft Photoscan, RAW photo editor, Blender,Instant Meshes and Substance Painter. Mesh: The Original Scan had around 22M faces/triangles and was decimated to around 4.5M before baking a normal map from it. The Lowpoly has 20K triangles. Texture: the texture in the preview is an 8K texture, i've also made a 2k and 4k texture. If you want a good view of the scan’s quality, check the ‘Matcap+Surface’ option in the model inspector. Remember you can adjust the lighting by holding ALT + Left mouse button. The Vulture / Mad Dog is a heavy Clan Omni Mech used for long-range indirect fire support, introduced in the year 2963. For this livery I took inpsiration from a Clan Smoke Jaguar paint sceme.
This model was made for a university project. The goal was to bake a high poly onto a normal map with the low poly under 30,000 plygons. form the MechWarrior BattleTech Universe. I made the low and hogh poly models in Maya, then added detail to the high poly in Zbrush before baking that onto a normal map in Substance Painter.
I did not make the clan logos. All credit for those goes to Punakettu who is a fantastic artist.
