We have been planning to recreate this photo as a sculpture for Burning Man, and in preparation for this, we invited a model to help recreate the scene using 3D scanning technology. I scanned her several times, using both Photogrammetry & the Structure Sensor combined with Itseez 3D scanning software. We ended up using the Structure scan because the quality was a bit better. We will repeat the process with several models to compile them into the ideal scan & then begin the process of converting the mesh into a structure made either out of metal or wood. Since our deadline isn’t until the end of the year, I haven’t rendered in UE4 for the hand-in just yet and have used Marmoset Toolbag. I really enjoyed this project - it was a pretty big learning curve for just a few weeks project but I learned a lot of new techniques and had fun bringing my own bounty hunter concept to life! My inspiration was the Witcher 3, but with a bit of stylisation mixed in. But If I could work on it more (And with developers) I would like for it to turn into a bigger more detailed globe, where you can zoom in and see for each country, or area, what the major concerns are and where you can go to learn more or support that cause. This is also a more aproachable way for people, from multiple ages and backgrounds to see things, than just getting a whole article shoved into your face. Or just hearing what is bad without an option or guide to be better.
