Over eight centuries old, the Bimaristan Nur al-Din, is the earliest surviving site for the development of Islamic medicine. Throughout the building’s lifetime, the site has functioned as a medical school as well as a place of healing in the heart of the old city of Damascus. Built in 1154, the building is characterized by its red brick muqarnas, elaborate entrance block, and finely carved wooden doors. The hospital was in use until the 20th century when it was converted into a Museum of Arabic Medicine and Science. The preservation of the building is a reminder of the major contributions of Islamic medicine to the world today. Wanted to do something cute for a change. First thing that came to my mind was a fox selling sugar, an old inside joke with my little brothers that has spread in my family and extended family. It is also neatly connected with a local saying (unreliable translation) “Sour, said the fox about the rowan berry”. A quick internet search told me that this saying seems to be a localized reference to the “The Fox and the Grapes” fable. So I added some rowan berries and leaves. Fox sculpted in Zbrush, retopo in Blender and texturing in substance painter. Bilbo’s Pantry is inspired by the Bag End Pantry concept created by the amazing John Howe. That concept, along with the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies, motivated me to create this scene. I wanted to get back to some stylized, hand painted textures and created this scene with that goal in mind. The pantry scene is low poly and utilizes diffuse and specular maps only. Tolkien’s works have been a big part of my life and I really enjoyed working on this piece. A figurine model of the Monumen Nasional (Monas), a large obelisk located in the center of Jakarta, Indonesia. Stylized lightly with aesthetics in mind, as such the dimensions/ratios don’t really conform to the actual monument. Partially inspired by the Civilization 6 artstyle (though I did not nail it exactly). Was created as a test of my modelling/texturing abilities, I’m quite happy with the outcome, while it did not precisely adhere to the idea I had in mind, it was quite good regardless. October Sculpting Challenge 2022 ❗NOT RIGGED, VERY ROUGH MAXIMO RIG PRESENT PLANNING ON RIGGING IN THE FUTURE PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND WHEN PURCHASING❗️ Decided to attempt a more detailed sculpt for this month, particularly focusing on wrinkles and organic detailing. Originally was planning on practicing simple hard surface techniques by creating a deer’s skull, but decided to take it further and create the famous Native American cryptid, the Wendigo. Also took the opportunity to learn how to better use and implement hair cards, although it does bump up the tri count a tad. Suletta mercury is the main character from the show Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, i liked her design and haircut a lot tho i had to grow on me a bit this model is fully rigged and comes with several blendshapes for eye, eyebrows and mouth movements, the model was colored by using a really small and simple 256x256 texture, the poly count being relatively low, i aimed for a very clean design while experimenting on new aesthetics for my models! most likely the texture could have been compressed to a 128x128 texture in hignsight, but the result was very nice regardless, features: fully rigged with unity’s humanoid rig in mind, hair and tie bones for possible spring bones. blendshapes for eyes , mouth , and eyebrows optimized for unity usage rig test edit: fixed a bug where the blink2 R blendshape did not correspond with the blink2 L blendshape edit 2: download link 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 4843 polygons.

I really wanted to make a scifi character in his combat suit. I was inspired by Star Citizen, but Halo’s designs are really the best ones for this. For the process, at first I made the lowpoly model in Maya, then I went to Zbrush to subdivide it and put all the details needed with my own alphas. I baked the highpoly model in susbtance painter, and then I tried to make several smart materials to texture the whole character. I also did 2 different camos, because I needed a character that could fit in my upcoming space station project. I also rigged my character with my own auto-rig, therefore I was able to put it in several poses.
