Cooperation with our friends at G-3D-PrintThe front cover of the jetski was scanned using Artec Leo in 15 minutes (including chalc sraying, markers, etc.) and the post-process workflow took about 60 minutes in Artec Studio. The jetski belongs to the world champion György Kasza and his team. The purpose of the scan is to make a perfect fit bespoke fabricated composite cover, therefore some reverse engineering was necessary to get a native CAD data (step) to be able to machine the mold for the composite. For this, weve sed Quicksurface’s Autosurface option to get the nurbs surface based on the HQ mesh. Yes, this was a hell of a scan… it look me 10-15 minutes to walk the entire street. Shootout to @polycam app (@cpheinrich), that handled the capture from the beginning to the end of this 560 ft long scan (170 m.)!

Earlier this week, in the dim light of an overcast evening here in the southeastern United States this tree became the subject of roughly 2 minutes of hasty video scraping with my iPhone.

Houdini was the primary tool used for all geometry work, baking and GLTF export for Sketchfab. The UVs were automatically generated and need more work, but parts of this look great to me so I’m posting it as yet another watermark.
