This is my most recent personal project to practice handpainted textures.
Creating this fan art from the show Arcane has been an amazing journey that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed.
I really like the distinct style of the show and it was super fun trying to recreate it.
The process of making this piece has been very rewarding, and the challenges encountered along the way have only helped me to grow as an artist.

I was aiming for a Warcraft look (as in Frozen Throne, not necessarily WoW) with limited resolution hand painted textures.
Glow FX were originally done as billboard planes, flickering was achieved by randomly rescaling them; the little bat and moving candle flames were animated by shifting UV - as these techniques are currently unavailable on Sketchfab I edited them out and left a static model with no billboard tracking. In this module I was tasked to create a fantasy medieval inspired potion within 4 weeks. With the help of softwares such as Photoshop, Maya and Unreal I was able to fully realise my potion bottle design.
This is my corruption potion concept for a video game potion asset which was inspired by the (Shimmer potion from the Netflix series Arcane)
Disclamer -
There is some atifacts on the model such as hard seams and low geomatary.
