Tomb of Tự Đức (Vietnamese: Lăng Tự Đức), officially Khiêm Mausoleum (Khiêm Lăng, Hán tự: 謙陵), is located in Huế, Vietnam. It is built for the Nguyễn Emperor Tự Đức and took three years to build from 1864–1867. It is divided into a Temple Area and a Tomb Area. Emperor Tu Duc enjoyed the longest reign of any monarch of the Nguyen dynasty, ruling from 1848-1883. Although he had 104 wives and concubines, he was unable to father a son (possibly he became sterile after contracting smallpox). Double Brougham carriage scan performed in coordination with the Arlington Court Carriage Museum. The first Brougham carriage was commissioned in 1837 by Lord Brougham (1778-1868). He wanted a refined and glorified street cab, which would make a convenient carriage for a gentleman…closed and intimate thus allowing the occupants to conduct a private conversation. The Brougham, pronounced broom, became popular with the gentry of the day, as it was an ideal carriage for use in towns and cities. This carriage was built as a wedding present for Colonel F.M. Hext of Pinhoe, near Exeter. It was used during his honeymoon on the Isle of Wight and has the family crest on the door. A mitre is a bishop or abbot’s distinctive ceremonial head-dress. This mitre is hand embroidered and is set with semi-precious and non-precious stones. This mitre came from St James Abbey, Ratisbon (now Regensburg), Germany. After the abbey closed, the mitre went with the last of the Scottish monks to the new abbey they founded at Fort Augustus in 1862. The Palmse distillery has been in more or less the same location since 1736. The first building was made of wood, but the first stone distillery was raised already in 1774. The present bulky building with its 33-meter chimney was built in the 1860s and 1870s, and was not powered by a water wheel, but by steam. In 1890, Kotov, the governorate engineer, completed drawings for supplement the distillery with a new boiler room, but his project was never realised. When Lahemaa National Park became the owner of Palmse manor in 1973, the distillery was already mostly in ruins. This 3D data of Kokura Castle was made using photogrammetry. This is Avatta’s first attempt in using drones to make high quality 3D architectural scan. We have photographed over 1500 images from all directions and the data was processed using Agisoft Photoscan. Kokura Castle of Kitakyushu, Japan was built by Hosokawa Tadaoki in 1602. It was the property of the Ogasawara clan (from Harima) between 1632 and 1860. The castle was burnt down in 1866 in the war between the Kokura and Chōshū clans. Mori Ogai was based at the castle at the turn of the 19th-20th century when it was a military base. The keep was reconstructed in 1959, and the castle was fully restored in 1990. The Matsumoto Seicho museum and castle garden were opened in 1998. This one was captured at abandoned airfield (aviation school) in Volchansk - 75km from my city. After Soviet Union collapse in 1991 this airfield has been closed, lots of aircraft stood there under open and guarded by few militaries. In 2013 all guards gone, and locals starts to disassemble aircraft. Now, there only fuselages left, a couple of helicopters remains one engine. Lots of L29 airplanes, An-2, Mi-2 helicopters. This place nowadays becomes some kind of museum. Hundreds of people visits it on holidays. I took around 2000 photos of helicopter, 1867 was good. Nikon d5300, 18-55mm@18mm kit, 1/160 s, f/8, ISO-125. It appears, that lots of photos are blurred, so I deleted them, but I still unsatisfied with remaining photos. Cairn Liath is an Iron Age broch that sits proudly on a rocky knoll and commands views over a long stretch of coastline. Broch’s are substantial stone towers or roundhouses only found in the far north of Scotland. They were constructed and used between 600 BC and 100 AD. This broch has a circular interior 10.2m in diameter and substantial walls over 5m thick; there was one entrance passage to the building. The walls survive to 3.66m high, but originally the building would have stood to a considerably height and had higher floors. A staircase to higher levels was built into the wall. The third Duke of Sutherland ‘cleared’ this broch in 1868 and some of his finds from his antiquarian excavations are preserved in the National Museum of Scotland. They most probably have been used as hunting weapons. The Bison plaquette of La Madeleine (Tursac, France), represents a bison that is licking its back. It was realized on bone through incision with stone pointed utils, and it dates back to the Upper Palaeolithic (ca. 17.000-10.000 BP). It was found during the excavations conducted by Édouard Lartet between 1863 and 1865, and now it is part of the permanent collection at the palaeolithic international museum of Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil. This model was realized through photogrammetry using Agisoft Metashape (ver. 1.5.3.). 180 pictures were taken of a resin replica of the piece, and the were processed and scaled using the software tools. The morphology of the piece impeded taking pictures of its base, which provoqued te model to not be closed in that area.
