This is a church built somewhere around year 1100. The building material is sand stone and wood. The church has been built on top of 1,5 meters of previous “cultural building remains”
Through annual ring dating on wooden beams over the nave, it has been found that these trees were felled in 1136. The church is built in Romanesque style with the tower to the west.
(Notation 1 on the model) An inscription engraved above the entrance on the west side states that “Othelrik me fecit”, which means: Othelric has made me. This architect and stonemason is believed to have come from northern Germany and was one of the foremost of the 12th century in Västgötland.

The Light Amphibious Assault Warship (LAAWS), also known as the Guadalcanal Class, is the primary ship-to-shore connector for the US Navy. Its purpose is to transport US Marines and their equipment to islands alongside larger helicopter assault ships and landing docks.
There are two variants of the LAAWS: Block I and Block II, measuring 160m and 190m in length, respectively. Block I can accommodate 100 Marines and their equipment for up to 6 weeks at sea. The Skuldelev ships are a group of five well preserved 11th century ships from the Viking period, found in the Roskilde Fjord in Denmark near the town of Skuldelev. Skuldelev 2 was a large ocean going longship, a war vessel probably known as a Skeid - the type of vessel also known in the sagas as “dragon ships”. From analyzing the wood of the ship archaeologists were able to determine the ship had been built in Ireland around the 1040’s CE, the furthest away of all the Skuldelev ships. This digital recreation is based on the ‘The Sea Stallion from Glendalough’, a full scale reconstruction made by the Roskilde Viking Ship Museum.
