La chiesetta di San Marcodi è costituita da un corpo semplice a pianta rettangolare che si conclude in un’abside quadrangolare. Ha un portale d’ingresso sulla facciata e due porte laterali non in asse tra di loro: quella a sud è più recente, mentre quella a nord, ora murata, presenta una fattura antica.
The small church of San Marco consists of a simple rectangular body that ends in a quadrangular apse. It has an entrance portal on the facade and two side doors not aligned with each other: the one to the south is more recent, while the one to the north, now walled up, has an ancient workmanship.

This is a church built somewhere around year 1100. The building material is sand stone and wood. The church has been built on top of 1,5 meters of previous “cultural building remains”
Through annual ring dating on wooden beams over the nave, it has been found that these trees were felled in 1136. The church is built in Romanesque style with the tower to the west.
(Notation 1 on the model) An inscription engraved above the entrance on the west side states that “Othelrik me fecit”, which means: Othelric has made me. This architect and stonemason is believed to have come from northern Germany and was one of the foremost of the 12th century in Västgötland.
