This is my improved environment from a previous compulsory. I was originally going to use normal maps tht I made in 3DCoat, but they looked awful on the towers that I instead went for a less detailed approach, with larger focus on colour.
The rings and moon are all animated to be slowly floating up and down, in 3 different speeds (they also glow). The large creature that pierces through many of the spiral clouds, is a mix between a Furby (spesifically the Long Furby meme) and the length of an asian dragon. This is my personal project and for my college student life memories. Canadian-built Chevrolet C-15 trucks, They are used for public transportation in Burmese(Now Myanmar). These buses are Canadian-built Chevrolet C-15 trucks that the British Army used extensively from about 1939 to the independence of Burma in 1948. There were a lot of these trucks left over from the British, so the Burmese converted many to become wood body buses. At Yangon they become “39 Bite Pu” meaning “39 BigBelly” and at Mawlamyine “No.7 Bus”. This model is a concept made to represent a space filled with water that one can relax in. This first year project was to design a stereotomic form and it’s ground keeping in mind material, human experience, as well as atmosphere. I chose to incorporate water in my model and hence designed a form that is submerged within another form full of water. I then decided to continue the pattern of nesting into my ground as well. I chose to use glass in order to create an invisible feel that lets people feel as if they are floating in space. As a person moves up, the ground space is lesser, signifying increasing solitude and focus due to lesser interaction with the outside world. All these elements combined guarantee a more focused, deliberate human experience in the space.
