The typanum of the east wall of chamber C in the tomb of Sennedjem (TT1) in Deir el-Medina, Luxor, Egypt. Sennedjem was a mason who lived and worked in Deir el-Medina, the village of the tomb builders, during the 19th dynasty. You can also see one of Sennedjem's coffins and mummy board which were recovered from the tomb when it was excavated in 1886. Created from 33 photographs (Motorolla Moto G5 Plus mobile phone) using Metashape 1.7.0. Demiated from 1.2M face original using Instantmeshes. I uploaded the sword alone previously and planned to upload its sheath separately, but eventually decided put them together so it can have a complete showcase as a set. Both high res model and all the details made in Zbrush, painted the texture in substance painter. The animal on the sheath at first was just flat shapes with no details on it, and I thought I finished the model. Later on I looked at it again and again, eventually decided I should add more details and to make the animal figures more alive and to give them more characters, since this was a sword made for Paraoh’s battles, it just has to have that spirit. Painting the texture was another challenge since there are just so many details on the original antique. Made this piece with a heart of awe, and it was a great learning experience!
