3D scan of a skull and mandible of the mosasaurid Platecarpus coryphaeus. He was an aquatic predator during the late Cretaceous, living about 81–85 million years ago. Mosasaurids are members of the order Squamata and are therefore relatives of lizards and snakes. Fossils of Platecarpus are found predominantly in North America, but were perhaps also occurring in Europe, Africa & New Zealand. This skull of Platecarpus coryphaeus will be on display in the upcoming exhibition “CineSaurs" that opens on October 19, 2021 at the NHM Vienna. In Austria the black swan is an alien species which breeds irregularly elsewhere. In Vienna a breeding population with up to 170 individuals became extinct in the late nineties.
The exhibited specimen has been donated to the NHM Vienna in 1921 by the “Tiergarten Schönbrunn”.
This black swan can be found in Hall 30 of the Natural History Museum Vienna.

Cooperation with our friends at G-3D-PrintThe front cover of the jetski was scanned using Artec Leo in 15 minutes (including chalc sraying, markers, etc.) and the post-process workflow took about 60 minutes in Artec Studio. The jetski belongs to the world champion György Kasza and his team. The purpose of the scan is to make a perfect fit bespoke fabricated composite cover, therefore some reverse engineering was necessary to get a native CAD data (step) to be able to machine the mold for the composite. For this, weve sed Quicksurface’s Autosurface option to get the nurbs surface based on the HQ mesh. 3D scan of a primeval dwarf horse (Eurohippus messelensis) fossil from Messel, which is todays Darmstadt, Germany. Fossils from this area are extraordinarily good preserved. That is because 47 million years ago there was a tropical forest around Lake Messel, and on its floor the oxygen-deprived environment prevented decomposition of the corpses that sunk into the lake.
This primeval dwarf horse of Messel is Number 28 of the NHM Top 100 and can be found in Hall 9 in Showcase 68 at the NHM Vienna.

It’s been quite a while, hope you’re doing well :) .
I made this project on my spare time during 1 week for a challenge organized by Stylized Station.
Modelisation with Blender ( except the Volcano, made with ZBrush / Blender ) and texturing with Substance Painter.
You can see this planet like a secondary level you could have in Super Mario Galaxy, where there’s no monsters or goals but only signs explaining you some facts about the Earth.
