The chapel of the Constable or chapel of the Constables is the usual denomination of one of the chapels of the cathedral of Burgos, (Spain), although its true invocation is the chapel of the Purification of the Virgin. It is a masterpiece of light management and architecture in Spain. It was conceived as funerary chapel of centralized plant, raised in the ambulatory of the cathedral, in flamboyant Gothic style and an incipient Renaissance. Ordered to be built by Don Pedro Fernández de Velasco y Manrique de Lara, Constable of Castile, and Doña Mencía de Mendoza y Figueroa, daughter of the Marquis of Santillana, The execution of the project was in charge of the artist Simón de Colonia, from Burgos, between 1482 and 1494. The Order of the Temple kept it until the end of its existence.
In the fourteenth century it was of the Fernández de Luna. The Archbishop of Zaragoza Lope Fernández de Luna had the building built that can be seen today and gave it in his will along with the towns of Tierga, Jarque de Moncayo, Sestrica, Nigüella and Lucena de Jalón to his sister Toda. Varón, de 30-34 años y de robustez media con una estatura de 1,76 m. Su principal característica es que conserva en el lado derecho del rostro, restos de patilla y barba, así como en la mejilla, huellas de barro de una tonalidad rojiza. Otro dato a destacar es la excelente conservación de su lengua y restos de pericardio, membrana que permite cubrir y proteger al corazón.
Al igual que MVG-001 y MVG-003, esta momia en febrero del 2011 regresó a la isla gracias al convenio firmado por el Organismo Autónomo de Museos y Centros del Cabildo de Tenerife, OAMC con la Universidad Complutense.
