A magnificent piece realized by a blacksmith of his time (this craftsman was an incredible artist ๐)… Found near Arezzo, Italia. See how he transformed the upper mane into a nice dragon crest… And the guy beneath the helmet, must have been a high-ranking nobleman who breathed fire ๐ช๐ ! In brief, during that period (around 4th century BC) the region was a confederation of Etruscan cities, covering the entire Tuscany. Meanwhile, Rome remained a mid-sized city, competing for influence within the Latin league located further south. Due to lack of angle of view, in certains parts I improvised some patterns. With this project I tried to experiment a new workflow. I created my own alphas in maya to create a new brush in Zbrush. It allowed me to put a lot of small details on my helmet. I still wanted to retopo my model in order for it to be real time rendered. The final lowpoly model has exactly 20K tris, and has a single 2K textures
