The statue depicts Trajan in a standing position with pieces of both arms missing from the statue. Trajan ruled Rome from 98 to 117 CE. He was seen as a very benevolent ruler and was most known for projects that benefited the Roman society. Such projects include constructing aqueducts and building public baths. This is one of a pair of marble Molossers in the Uffizi Gallery, in Florence, Italy, and was 3D scanned in association with a digitization project undertaken by Indiana University in cooperation with the Galleria degli Uffizi.
