3D scan of a mounted skin of a snow leopard (Uncia uncia), one of the most threatened big cats on earth. Thanks to successful breeding programs, they can frequently be seen in zoos, but they are rarer in museums. This female snow leopard died in the Schönbrunn Zoo in Vienna in 1943 and was mounted at the NHM Vienna.
The snow leopard is Number 95 of the NHM Top 100 and can be found in Hall 38 of the NHM Vienna.

L’hôtel du Lac est un ancien hôtel de style brutaliste construit entre 1970 et 1973 selon les plans de l’architecte italien Raffaele Contigiani.
Selon la CNN, l’hôtel du lac, a fortement impressionné le créateur de Sars Wars, dont une large partie du tournage a été faite en Tunisie.
L’influence de l’Hôtel du Lac à Tunis, en forme de pyramide renversée, se verra plus tard dans le véhicule fictif Sandcrawler utilisé par les Jawas de la planète désertique Tatooine dans le film.
L’édifice en pleine période glamour accueillit plusieurs célébrités tel que James Brown. Mais les bons moments se sont estompés. Cooperation with our friends at G-3D-PrintThe front cover of the jetski was scanned using Artec Leo in 15 minutes (including chalc sraying, markers, etc.) and the post-process workflow took about 60 minutes in Artec Studio. The jetski belongs to the world champion György Kasza and his team. The purpose of the scan is to make a perfect fit bespoke fabricated composite cover, therefore some reverse engineering was necessary to get a native CAD data (step) to be able to machine the mold for the composite. For this, weve sed Quicksurface’s Autosurface option to get the nurbs surface based on the HQ mesh. 3D scan of a mount of a shoebill (Balaeniceps rex), that can stand up to 1.2 meters. Its name refers to the enormous beak that resembles a shoe. In Southern Sudan B. rex inhabits swamps and lakeshores where papyrus and reeds grow. This material is used to build their nests. This specimen of the rare African bird comes from the Bahr el Ghazal estuary in Sudan and was donated to the NHM Vienna in 1913.

The lagerstätte in China is an El Dorado for paleontologists and evolutionary biologists: more than 1000 specimens of Confuciusornis were found there. These findings provide valuable information on the evolution of birds.

The principal motif is a tonsured abbot standing dressed in a cowl; his halo indicates that he is a saint, standing with his abbot’s staff in his left hand and a buring torch as his emblem in his right. The staff, baculus was carried as the symbol of the pastoral duty.
There has been some despute to the identification to the person on the bench end, some say he cannot be identified while others have suggested the abbot to be St. Brendan, as his emblem in german documents is a burning torch, and St. brendan can be related back to Kirkjubø.
In the rounded top panel sits St. Olav enthroned. with a halo, crown, his long handed axe in his right and and the earth/orb in his left.
The small escutcheon above where the olique desk top would have been is the faroes coat of arms of the ram.
In the rounded upper top panel we find Erik of Pomerania’s Nordic Coat of Arms, the three crowns.
