The Phaistos Disc (also spelled Phaistos Disk, Phaestos Disc) is a disk of fired clay from the Minoan palace of Phaistos on the island of Crete, possibly dating to the middle or late Minoan Bronze Age (second millennium BC). This is one of the Ancient Lion Pillars that I had converted into a 3D Model with the help of Zbrush. Basically, I had made the pillar in Maya and then the lion’s skull in the Zbrush (This is my first time to work on it). Then I had combined them up, to put some cracks on the pillar so that it would have an ancient look. Then the same thing as it is (Low poly, Unwrapping and Baking). Currently on museum display at the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St. Augustine, Florida, this piece originally was located above the ravelin structure - a smaller fortification that provided a first line of defense at the entrance of the fort. This Coat of Arms was removed in 1957 to conserve the piece, and has been on display allowing visitors to the National Park to see it up-close. Today, a replica has been placed where the original Coat of Arms was found. As part of our comprehensive 3D survey, we used structured light scanning and imaging to document both the replica and the original piece. Our data is being used for digital archival preservation, conservation, additional replica creation, and for 3D modeling and public engagement. Our Sketchfab design uses an historic image of the ravelin structure from 1895, showing the Coat of Arms as it was, before its removal. The Sun Temple of Modhera is a Hindu temple dedicated to the solar deity Surya located at Modhera village of Mehsana district, Gujarat, India. It is situated on the bank of the river Pushpavati. It was built after 1026-27 CE during the reign of Bhima I of the Chaulukya dynasty.

This building is located in Tbilisi at the top of the Digomi Hills. It used to be a water tank, but in the late 1980s the tank was remodeled and there were plans to open an archaeology museum in it. Unfortunately, the museum was never opened. The building has stood empty and semi-abandoned ever since.

This is a 3D model of an ancient marble statue in the Glyptotek Museum in København, Denmark. It is a sculpture of the Roman emperor Trajan. The statue depicts Trajan in a standing position with pieces of both arms missing from the statue. Trajan ruled Rome from 98 to 117 CE. He was seen as a very benevolent ruler and was most known for projects that benefited the Roman society. Such projects include constructing aqueducts and building public baths.

A simulated Iron Age roundhouse at the Ryedale Folk Museum, North Yorkshire. Roundhouses are relatively common in the British Bronze and Iron Ages, seemingly representing a standard type of housing in most areas. The style continued to be used even into the sub-Roman period in some cases.
This reconstruction is based on an example excavated at nearby Pickering Quarry. The common features of a roundhouse are the circle of timber posts joined by wattle-and-daub panels, and a roughly 45 degree pitched thatch roof. Here an impressive ‘porch’ feature has been interpreted, most likely used as a windbreak of sorts. 45 degrees was found by experimental archaeologists to be the most efficient design, and surprisingly strong. A hearth burns constantly in the centre, but there is no chimney as an updraft will allow sparks to start a fire, and besides the smoke discourages creatures from eating the thatch.
