Such an important sculpture could not escape the notice of Pope Julius II (1503-1513) who bought it immediately and had it displayed in the Statues Courtyard (Cortile delle Statue), making it the centrepiece of the collection. And with it, my first year here, in Sketchfab. A long path that actually has passed so fast to me.
Since that day that I decided to create my portfolio online, I´ve improved my modeling skills in someway, I suppose.
Proof of that is my first appearance in a videogame credits as Environment & Asset Artist.
And the result of all these feelings, is this tribute to my all time favourite surreal Artist.
In an attempt to traslate the magic of the oniric world that René Magritte created in 1936,
I´m so proud with the result, trying to go beyond the canvas…

This object forms part of the Galloway Hoard, the richest collection of rare and unique Viking-age objects ever found in Britain or Ireland.
