The Potocki Palace in Lviv was built in the 1880s as an urban seat of Alfred Józef Potocki, former Minister-President of Austria. On 22 November 1919, American pilot Edward Graves dropped into the palace as part of an air show over the centre of Lviv on the 1st anniversary of the city’s liberation from the Ukrainians. The plane crash and the explosion of its fuel tanks caused a fire on the upper floors and the roof of the palace. The repair and restoration of the building lasted until 1931. From 1945 to 1972 the palace was used by the Institute of Geology and Geochemistry of Combustible Minerals of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. The palace itself was adapted for holding wedding ceremonies in 1972 and subsequently underwent restoration. In the 2000s, the Potocki Palace was handed over to the Lviv Art Gallery. I really wanted to make a scifi character in his combat suit. I was inspired by Star Citizen, but Halo’s designs are really the best ones for this. For the process, at first I made the lowpoly model in Maya, then I went to Zbrush to subdivide it and put all the details needed with my own alphas. I baked the highpoly model in susbtance painter, and then I tried to make several smart materials to texture the whole character. I also did 2 different camos, because I needed a character that could fit in my upcoming space station project. I also rigged my character with my own auto-rig, therefore I was able to put it in several poses. This model was made for a college assignement in which a product had to be developed that could benefit people. I chose to create this arm as I belived it to be a feasable piece of technology that could realistically be developed in the near future. Initial ideas such as teleporters and hoover boots were considered to be too unrealsitic. Inspiration for this model came from YouTube and Instagram accounts featuring similar 3D work along with informative videos on the use and function of exisitng prosthetic arms. I wanted to create an arm that maintained the familair human form of an arm with full motions such as an adjustable elbow and five finger movements. Modelled and animated in Blender. Hello people, I have built a battleship/carrier here that comes from my own imagination but also borrows ideas from ships from the Stargate universe. It is completely rigged.\n\nIt has 8 heavy cannons and 14 medium cannons (all medium cannons have a tracker for easier use of the rig, as well as a collection tracker for 5 cannons on each site so that they can be used synchronously to track a target), plus a heavy rocket launcher.\n\nIt has 4 main engines for sub-light speeds. in the lower middle an auxiliary engine. The bridge is in the upper rear part. Shortly behind it is the reactor and next to it the 8 shield generators. The hyperdrive is connected directly to the reactor.
