Some elements are suggestive of a Mediaeval cog, especially hull dimensions, keel design and clinker build. Another comparison would be a mid-to-late-18th-century or early 19th-century merchant, or naval, brig. Brigs were two-masted, square-rigged ships which normally had a spanker sail set on the lower mainmast. The foremast was the shorter of the two masts. The antechamber table is signed by Lars Nordin and the hammer piano by Pehr Lindholm, both in Stockholm. In the bedchamber, the main object is a pull-out bed with curtains of printed linen fabric (reprint after original in Stockholm Castle). The bed is painted in a reddish-brown color, which apparently wants to give the illusion of mahogany. On the cloth-covered dressing table, which is a reconstruction with the guidance of contemporary, cans and bottles of paintings typical of the time, stand in front of a simple mirror from 1794.
