Here is my most elaborate and intricate costume yet, a replica of a dress worn by Queen Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones (seasons 3-6). This red and gold brocard dress also features very fine and detailed embroideries figuring arabesques, birds and the powerful Lannister lion. I spent 400 hours in this work, with 350 only for the hand embroideries! (I used 20m of italian mesh, 250m of golden threads, about 1400 beads and rings…) The 3D model has been computed from 445 Nikon D5300 DSLR 24 MPx images, aligned in low quality, with medium depth maps and mesh (decimated to 850k polys, with localized smoothing up to 15), and one 4k texture (sorry for the loss of details on the embroideries…). This is a very “quick’n’dirty” test I decided to finally upload as a first entry to the #AgisoftClothesChallenge . It’s not great, it’s not that bad either… This jacket is a replica of the black paneled uniform worn by military members of the Atlantis expedition in the Sci-Fi show Stargate Atlantis, and this specific version, made of ripstop fabric, is worn by John Sheppard during seasons 2 and 3 of the show. The Domes were built to facilitate the manufacturing of computers. They were built in 1983 by InnerConn Technology Inc., a manufacturer of circuit boards for computers and watches. They chose this design because they were fast and cheap to build. However during the build InnerConn Technologies defaulted on a loan and they stopped all construction and were never completed. Over the years they have deteriorated and have been vandalized. This one has been photographed and turned into a 3D model to historically preserve its place in time. A few vulgar graffiti images have been digitally removed. DSLR + Drone photos were used to capture the image to create this model using photogrammetry.
