The “Volkssturmgewehr” is an old late-war German Assault Rifle from World War 2. It utilized a special gas-delayed blowback system which allowed for semi-automatic fire. It was created in the “Primitiv-Waffen-Programm” to save important resources for the war and was build from already existing components. The weapon was able to chamber MP43/StG 44 magazines and used therefore 7.92x33mm munition. Model of Asuka Langley the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion! Posed as she is in her official artwork – spunky and tsundere. I wanted to do a chibi model of Asuka after working on the Mass Produced Evangelion character (also visible on my page!), and in the end I think she came out really cute! I like modeling cute things truthfully as well as figurative characters, so this project was definitely a lot of fun. It was once again a big learning experience though, as I really tried to work on things like facial topology, that anime-feeling style, and being painterly with my textures. I still have a long way to go of course, but this felt like a big milestone that I’m happy to have done!
