My submission for the first Low Poly challenge of 2021! The combined lighthouse and windmill provides the Lighthouse Keeper with an excellent view of the surrounding reef, unfortunately it lighthouse no longer works as intended, meaning there have been a few… mishaps over the years. Though we are assured that it certainly wasn’t the Keeper’s intention! The crows nest provides a convenient way to cut across to get those fresh seagull eggs in the morning, and the diving platform provides a nice way to keep entertained through those hot summer days. Someone evidently got tired of the The Reanimator’s shenannigans. Commisioned model for the Deanimator weapon in Buu342 and Demo’s Garry’s Mod game mode Monster Mash. Created off the original concept art piece by Mr.Serious, resulting in a more “accurate” rendition of the weapon’s design. That is not to say some liberties were also taken, in order to enhance uniqueness as well as work within constraints. The final version for the source engine lacks some of the PBR flourish, but it does also have animated emission maps which sketchfab unfortunately cannot display. This is Tik-Tok, a Royal Guard of Oz. He helps protect Dorothy during her revisit to Oz. He is my favorite, since there is so much going on with his character and how he operates in the world. Unfortunately, there were some issues carrying him over into Sketfab for some reason. The UV’s for the normals and bumpmaps didnt carry over correctly either. And most of his buttons and in quite a few other places, the polygons forgot how to keep their shape, so he’s very broken right now. A lot of smooth edges became hard edges and his overall mesh quality suffered. Originally, i was going to model him because I could, but then thought I could bring him into VRChat, so its visible where I started to hold back on the polygon count. I’ll update him eventually. Realized using Blender, GIMP and Photoshop. The model is rigged but not very well… I currently find rigging very tedious; that is why the pose is minimal. I am an amateur trying to improve my skillset (painted textures in particular). The fur texture was a challenge. In Blender I was using Freestyle lines to achieve a cartoony, hand-drawn style in the renders. For this reason I could not use any transparency in the textures to achieve a more realistic fur. Unfortunately there is no equivalent to Freestyle in Sketchfab (yet!) but I think the model still looks alright with PBR materials. Any constructive criticism is appreciated; I already have a list of things to improve for my next project. This character is my own original creation. This is my attempt at modelling World of Warcraft’s Sulfuron Keep from the Firelands raid. This model was created for a college project so any feedback would be greatly appreciated! And just as a side note: I am aware that the underside of the model and the fact that the platform is poking out from the lava does look rather unusual, however the main reason for this is because I wasn’t originally planning to upload this scene as a physical model that could be viewed from any perspective, instead, once the model was completed, I intended to take a single, static render of the scene as if it were looking through the eyes of a player, and uploading that image to my Artstation account, meaning that I wasn’t really focussing on any of the areas of the model that wouldn’t be seen within the final render. This is my contribution to the digital car creation. It started as a simple model but adding more and more detail led it to the current state. The demo animation should give you some ideas what’s inside the package but it doesn’t include everything. I wasn’t able to optimize it for sketchfab without loosing too much quality (normally I’d hide parts of the model) so it’ll take a bit to load the textures and unfortunately (also for me) some of you (with slower GPUs) will struggle a bit to see the content - in that case, please pause the animation. It’s a complete model of the 911SC from ‘83. It’s completely unwrapped, with painted textures and rigged. The rig is of course made for this animation but I’ll attach a different one suitable for Unreal Engine. This is one of my first car models I built for a free independant racing game that allowed user generated content (racer.nl). It had a wonderful community that i do miss quite a bit. This was created before normal maps, high poly counts, and Substance Painter, but at least we had Photoshop… The Renault Alpine A110 is one of my favorite vintage automobiles of all time. I have only seen this car once in the flesh, and hope to again some day, it’s so beautiful to me. This work is based on a Sketchup-file. Unfortunately I don´t remember the name of its author. Anyway, thanks for the great model! Several years ago I converted and repaired it into a watertight STL-file. My purpose is to provide watertight STL-files for you, which can easily be modified for 3D-printing, according to your personal preferences. Because of that, most of my models are not repaired into one single shell. According to my own experience, this may be a bit more difficult for the preparation of the build, but helps you a lot, if you want to personalize the model. E.g. if you want to seperate parts, such as wheels or mirrors or to remove delicate details like wipers, door handles etc. Before printing, please check out if you have to modify the model, depending on the favored size of your print and the requirements of your printer. However, since the car was heavily modified, Nissan had to make 250 homologated models to fulfill the regulation to enter Group B. Unfortunately, Group B has already been ended before this car could compete. Reworked at May 13th, 2022. Mostly the reworks are UV Map for body & windows and shaders/materials so that it will be compatible with Blender Cycles engine. Previously it was specific for EEVEE and caused black areas when rendered with Blender Cycles. This was one of times I wish I had a drone (not sure if it’s even allowed to fly in that area anyway), so I tried my best with a 400mm lens handheld from any place I could walk around it. I managed anyway to get comfortably 3x8K textures and normals in a relatively low poly model. Maybe if I find the right conditions again (low tide and good light) I could try to reshoot this one, maybe from a boat… stay tuned for a possible reupload 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 99988 polygons.

I missed the Meet Mat 1 contest and I’m very happy to join this Meet Mat 2 Contest. The new Substance Painter is awesome with the tessellation feature, so I can play with the heigh channel very flexible. I also give myself an additional small challenge: I won’t use anything outside the Substance standard shelf but 1 custom color profile (for rendering later). My idea is that MAT is an Space traveler who will “jump” through Space to explore the universe. Unfortunately, some planets are very dangerous so he lost 1 arm and leg. But now his new arm is strong enough to help him go further and safer. The device on his right arm is used for selecting the destination to travel, and of course MAT can check the time with it :). I’m not really happy with the displacement quality.
