This little project of mine aimed at introducing a new customizable weapon in Fallout 4. The idea would’ve been to take a revolver body and outfit it with a custom barrel to shoot 12ga slugs. Everything was made to fit into the “homemade” and post-apocalyptic design in mind, from the oil filter suppressor to the crutch stock or the aluminium can muzzle brake. This was my first project on Substance Painter. I’m pretty happy with the result on IRay. Problem is I still have trouble rendering correctly in another engine, like Mental Ray. Any tips and advices will be welcome. Since I have no experience on Fallout 4 creation kit (only used FO3’s and FNV’s), it is unlikely this weapon will be included in the game. This model of an African Bush Elephant is more than 4 years old. The last week I have been working on it again, one of the advantages of working in digital 3d. I changed a lot of things in posture, sizes and shape, most of them subtle but more in line with what an African Elephant looks like. This version of the model is an intermediate sized model. I could go down to the lowest polygon version, but I think this is a good compromize between ease of use and actual details displayed. And as you can see I used the posibilities of the viewer to give it a look and feel that matches the grandeur of a great African elephant bul. P.S. The model has Dept of Field (DoF). If you click on a part of the elephant it will go into focus and the rest blurs. My take on Sonya Blade. I made this as a combination of multiple ideas/designs/characters that I wanted to do but would not have time to make them separately. I wanted to make a version of Sonya but also wanted to make some exo-suit, some military type of character etc, so I saved me the trouble and put everything together. Plus, I wanted to make a reference to Sonya’s MK3 outfit mixed with a new design. After all, Sonya using an exo-suit made sense to me, considering that her friend, Jax, has cybernetic arms. This is a sewing machine model, based on a 1958 Singer 401a model (though this was not meant to be an exact replica). It does not contain any modeling for the mechanical bits inside, because this model I have made as a nonmoving prop in a larger project I am currently working on. However, it does contain some flat planes inside so that you guys can fake an interior with some clever texturing. This model is without textures (there will be a textured version later on, once the larger project is completed in coming months). Texturing (in progress) will be based on the Fallout 4 video game, mostly because I am playing that like crazy as of late, but also because I love Bethesda’s style of texturing their assets. Reupload, cause I added seagulls (very important) Made this floating island with a lighthouse in 5 days trying to be done by the end of the week. And I gotta say, this was a marathon. Were a lot of troubles with baking, making fine details. If I had more time I would probably did separate bakes, but not this time. So, about the model: it’s a handpainted lowpoly with baked map from a highpoly. Triangles count: 27,5K. I was going with anime style (Miyazaki movies) and for reference I used artworks of Jim Shore (“Benatrex - Shorelights”), you’ll notice the lighthouse that I recreated.
