This sculpture of standing Buddha is located at swayambhunath temple in Kathmandu. Built in 15th century, placed at the front side of the hill, on the old route to the stupa. The word “swayambhu" in saskrit means self-manifestation meaning it was not made by human hands, but instead is naturally arisen, or generated by nature so people here believe the whole hill rose itself including most of the sculptures inside.
