This is a Ray Gun I made for my class at Edinburgh College. We were asked to produce a weapon with a Retro-Futuristic style.
After initially completing the Gold Variant, I decided to create an additional skin with a different colour scheme. I had a lot of fun creating this small & self-contained piece. I hope to continue expanding upon and improving it in the near-future.
Mesh was created with Blender 2.79.
Marmoset Toolbag 3.04 and Substance Painter 2018 were used for Baking & Texturing.

Dolly was born on 5 July 1996 at the Roslin Institute, Scotland of a Scottish Blackface surrogate mother. She died on 14 February 2003.

Many people are familiar with the art installationin in the Helix Park, adjacent to the Falkirk Wheel - the large Kelpies - at 30 metres high, they are the world’s largest equine sculptures, created by Andy Scott in 2013.
What is less well known is that a mini version of these iconic sculptures, the pre production “maquettes”, some 10 feet high are currently in residence in Ardrishaig at the western end of the Crinnan Canal at the Ardrishaig waterway’s centre. They have been sited there at since 2019 having cantered down from their earlier site in Edinburgh.

Edinburgh Castle is one of the oldest fortified places in Europe. With a long rich history as a royal residence, military garrison, prison and fortress, it is alive with many exciting tales. The Half Moon Battery, built in the aftermath of the Lang Siege of 1573, was armed for 200 years by bronze guns known as the Seven Sisters. Six more guns defend the Argyle Battery, with its open outlook to the north.
