This work was my contribution to retrogasm 2019, well is not on time as you can see but at least is finished, the idea was to recreate a videogame character , I picked captain commando from the 90's great arcade machine. The high res model was done in Zbrush, retopo in 3dcoat, texture process in Substance Painter, rigged inside Maya with Advanced Skeleton and finally rendered inside marmoset and for the high res model keyshot (overwatch tribute), some final retouch inside Photoshop. Hello everyone,
This was such a cool project to work on. I made this project based on the concept art from Kyle Corneliushttps://www.artstation.com/artwork/5l2Kz. Everything has a first time well this project was a lot of first times. This is my first time working in zbrush I always wanted to learn how to sculpt and work it down to a useable game ready creature. After making the high poly in zbrush I went to Maya for the retopo this was also a first for me so learned to work with the quad draw tool. When the low poly was done I uv unwrapped in Maya and textured in substance painter. I went back to zbrush for the posing.
