Contrairement aux autres portes qui datent de l’époque aghlabide, comme Bab El Gharbi, Bab El Finga est percée avec Bab Jedid et Bab El Jebli au xixe siècle1, plus précisément entre 1892 et 18952, à l’initiative des autorités françaises. Por el tipo de decoración, sobre todo en relación a la crestería de cilindros, los especialistas datan esta pieza en la segunda mitad del S.VI a.c. y por tanto, se encuadraría dentro de la Cultura Ibérica
Actualmente se encuentra en el Museo Arqueológico Jose María Soler de la ciudad de Villena.
