Sci fi gun concepted by me. I’ve always loved the shape design of a p90 so I wanted to create a sci-fi looking gun using the same shape language. My little sister also love unicorns so when she saw I was stumped on my design she gave the idea of unicorn gun. I decided to run with the idea so I started concepting in maya using booleans. After a couple of designs I decided to go with this one. I modeled the gun in maya and then textured it using substance painter and photoshop. This was created as part of Ashleigh Warners’ ‘Creating Stylized Game Assets’ course available through CGMA. I completed my first draft last November, but I went back over it and made as many changes as possible to get it to a place I felt confident in sharing.
This is MEEPO, or the Mega Express Espresso Processing Operator 3000. The initial idea was to have this retro-futuristic coffee-station diorama that sold a particular kind of mundane story (even if it was in a sort of space-setting).
Either way, this is my first fully-completed hand-painted project and I couldn’t be happier! It was created through a mix of Blender, 3Ds Max, 3D Coat, Substance Painter and Photoshop!
