If there is one essential monument in Vigo, that’s the monument to Jules Verne (42.241217, -8.722885). The great writer devoted a chapter to “The Bay of Vigo" in one of his most famous books, 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, fuelling the legend of the Rande treasure with the adventures of its popular main character, Captain Nemo, and his famous Nautilus. Jules Verne even came to visit the city some time after writing the novel, so in his honour and on the centenary of his death (2005), the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Pontevedra commissioned this bronze sculpture from local artist José Molares and donated it to the city. Since then, the writer has been sitting on the tentacles of a giant squid in the Avenidas, next to the Montero Ríos gardens.

Hello people, I have built a battleship/carrier here that comes from my own imagination but also borrows ideas from ships from the Stargate universe. It is completely rigged. It has 8 heavy cannons and 14 medium cannons (all medium cannons have a tracker for easier use of the rig, as well as a collection tracker for 5 cannons on each site so that they can be used synchronously to track a target), plus a heavy rocket launcher. It has 4 main engines for sub-light speeds. in the lower middle an auxiliary engine. The bridge is in the upper rear part. Shortly behind it is the reactor and next to it the 8 shield generators. The hyperdrive is connected directly to the reactor. On the bottom it has 4 gravitational jets for hovering. The ship also has 4 hangar bays (which can each be opened and closed individually). I also included a function test animation to demonstrate the rig. The archaeological site of Pyrgos Ragiou (Tower of Ragio) occupies the top of a hill in the middle of the Ragio - Kestrini plain, near the old estuary of the River Kalamas. It was probably an inland stronghold of the nearby 5th century BC seaside settlement on the Lygia Peninsula, which possibly corresponds with ancient Toroni, the Corfian mainland base mentioned by Thucydides. Part of the wider Corfiot installation area was the small fortress Pyrgos Ragiou, which protects the main settlement of Ligia from the inland, while providing shelter to the population in times of war. It owes its modern name to the tower of the Ottoman period, which dominates the hilltop, built up right above the tower of the ancient fortification of the 5th century BC. The Machine Gun Bunker of Alhama de Murcia is one of the best examples of 20th century military architecture in the Region of Murcia. Its design and construction is part of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), possibly built in 1937, forming part of the Ground Defense Plan of the naval base of Cartagena, strategic installation, from the military point of view, for the survival of the Republic. The bunker is essentially built in concrete, a scarce and valuable material during the war that was only used in priority military installations. It conserves its two lateral entrances. Inside the bunker is divided into 3 spaces, two of them for the placement of heavy machine guns and the third to the storage of supplies and ammunition, also serving as a refuge.
