This is my entry for the Low Poly Game Challenge for Sketchfab! The hero of the game is a brave Monk, surrounded by his KI energy, which is willing to fight the scary Ryuu Dragon to save his friend, trapped at the top of the castle. In the left side of the screen, there's a Takoyaki shop where you can recharge your energy. And in the right side, you can find Kappa, a fisherman with whom you can talk to ear prizes. Get ready and fight the dragon to follow the path and get the Daruma item. That's the only way to get inside the castle, which is floating in the blue sky air above furious sea. It was modeled and assembled with Maya. For this scene, I used a few textures, for the sky, sea and caustic, made with Photoshop. Besides these textures, everything is just flat color shader to achieve the toon look. Hope you like it! Cheers. Submission deadline in Monday, February 3, 2020. So this was a cool project to work on, I like sculpting weird artsy stuff and I’ve been trying to learn Speedtree and trees are pretty boring to look at for hours at a time while you’re trying to figure out what all the buttons and sliders do. I also had to learn a whole new workflow for this but it is what it is.
The concept was heavily inspired by ‘The Last Of Us’ in the beginning, I also wanted the body to be similar to my ‘Corpse Flower’ model since theyre both in a larger project together.
Initially while I was figuring out Speedtree this model had blue leaves so I was going for that Willow tree vibe but it wasnt looking right. Then I got inspired by the art in ‘Diablo 4’ and scrapped the leaves and added more tiny branches and that kinda brought the whole Blood Tree thing together 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 197388 polygons.

Terry Pratchett got me through a lot of last year. I swallowed a good chunk of the Discworld series, starting with Tiffany. Since then I’ve carried in my own mind an image of granny’s shepherd hut as it existed in Tiffany’s head, and the hat, and witch herself. This personal work / fanart took a few months, on and off, to realize.
