Juma Mosque is situated in the center of the village of Kala Koreysh in Dagestan, Russia, next to the family cemetery of the Utsmis, feudal rulers of Kaitag. The mosque's prayer hall is divided by rows of pillars into three naves. And the first aisle from the entrance is elevated in comparison with the other two by 50 centimeters - the relief slope is used. The prayer hall is slightly extended from west to east. Its dimensions are 12,2 by 10,2 meters, the thickness of the walls is about 50 centimeters. In the center of the hall there is a prayer niche - mihrab - that shows to the praying person the direction to the south, to Mecca. The mosque is laid out of big and carefully processed blocks. The material is local stone - shell rock. The masonry is dry and the stones are very precisely fitted. The technique of stone processing is high. A simulated Iron Age roundhouse at the Ryedale Folk Museum, North Yorkshire. Roundhouses are relatively common in the British Bronze and Iron Ages, seemingly representing a standard type of housing in most areas. The style continued to be used even into the sub-Roman period in some cases.
This reconstruction is based on an example excavated at nearby Pickering Quarry. The common features of a roundhouse are the circle of timber posts joined by wattle-and-daub panels, and a roughly 45 degree pitched thatch roof. Here an impressive ‘porch’ feature has been interpreted, most likely used as a windbreak of sorts. 45 degrees was found by experimental archaeologists to be the most efficient design, and surprisingly strong. A hearth burns constantly in the centre, but there is no chimney as an updraft will allow sparks to start a fire, and besides the smoke discourages creatures from eating the thatch.

This is a very “quick’n’dirty” test I decided to finally upload as a first entry to the #AgisoftClothesChallenge . It’s not great, it’s not that bad either…
This jacket is a replica of the black paneled uniform worn by military members of the Atlantis expedition in the Sci-Fi show Stargate Atlantis, and this specific version, made of ripstop fabric, is worn by John Sheppard during seasons 2 and 3 of the show. I made it back in 2013, so there are some flaws…
The model has a lot of flaws too that I could not really correct without damaging it more, and varying lighting during the photoscanning did not help… It’s made from 222 Nikon D5300 DSLR 24 MPx pictures, with low quality alignment, and medium quality depth map meshing, with a bit of smoothing.
