I had the privilege to work with the super chill and talented teammate, Gabriel Eekenulv, Skyblivion's Concept Art Lead. Together we produced this grand and regal set of armor. As a historical arms and armor enthusiast, I often time find it difficult to work with many fantasy concept arts. Most designs sacrifice basic understanding and practicality for “cool" aesthetics which make no sense. When I came across Eekenulv's armor designs, however, I was in awe. His designs are grand, elegant, and “cool", yet they maintain insights and functionality of armors, a perfect balance between “Realism" and “Suspension of Disbelieve". This was one of the most fun project I've produced in collaboration with others. Not to mention my Twitch subscribers who took part in submitting poleaxe designs, which eventually developed into the one you see. The costume was made for a theatrical performance «Indecent is decent» (Ivanovo State Museum of Local History named after D.G. Burylin, October 30, 2019 – March 1, 2020). The 3D reconstruction was made by using historical block patterns, 2D scans of textile materials and 3d scans of contemporary actors. Anthroscan, Clo3D, SubstancePainter and Unreal Engine 4 software programs were used.
