I’ve been working on this project since mid January now and it’s finally finished! Everything is modelled in Blender and the textures are painted in Photoshop. Diffuse and Alpha maps only.
I thought I would create a scene with a small story behind it.
The mysterious tiny wizard was experimenting with his rare mandrake Root and home grown crystals. He found an old recepice on how to create a special magic potion with the ancient root. By trying it out, he mixes the wrong ingredients together, which turns out to be a magic spell for opening portals. I needed new houses to the scene / level I’m developing in unreal I’ve seen some concept art online that was basically a multi-stage inn that was made out of a ship with the bottom of the ship being the top of the inn. I took that idea and made a different house. I didn’t really like that, it’s probably the proportions that I still can’t get right, so I made 2 variants and added giant oars, imagined a sotory of 2 old pirates who left stranded after the rest of their crew died and they decided to cut everything they have in half that’s how they made their houses from the 2 halves of the boat, and became fishermen for the nearby town.
