Shipwreck named “Mr. Bud". This wreck is about 23m long and sits in 20m depth. It is located just SW of French Key, on the south shore of Roatan, in Honduras. This is an easy wreck dive because there is rarely current and the visibility ranges from good to very good. This is my first wreck project. Two French inventors, brothers Alphonse and Theodore Carmagnolle of Marseille, France, were granted a patent for an armored diving dress in 1882 (Filed 1878). The 22 joints were made of partial sections of concentric spheres formed to create a close fit.

An atmospheric diving suit (ADS) maintains surface pressure internally, protecting a diver from underwater pressure and eliminating the need for decompression. Treasure hunters developed early atmospheric diving suits to dive on shipwrecks. Commercial diving and oil drilling industries resurrected ADS in the 1960s. The JIM suit, named for test diver Jim Jarrett, was the first modern-day commercial ADS. It weighed 910 pounds and operated to 1,500 feet. The Navy began using ADS after testing the JIM suit in 1975.

USS Bugara, a Balao-class submarine, was a ship of the United States Navy named for the bugara, a multicolored fish found along the coast of California.
The ship was decommissioned and struck from the Naval Register on 1 October 1970. While under tow near Cape Flattery, Washington, after an aborted attempt to use her as a target for USS Trigger, the Bugara was swamped and sank accidentally. The tug was at risk of being taken down with her, so she cut the steel hawser tow cable. No crew was aboard the sub when she sank.
