1858/1859 erhielt Ernst Rietschel den Auftrag, ein Reformations-Denkmal für die Stadt Worms zu entwerfen. Die Lutherstatue im Zentrum des Monuments wurde vielfach kopiert und diente als Vorbild für zahlreiche Lutherdenkmäler in Mitteleuropa und Nordamerika.

1858/1859 Ernst Rietschel was commissioned to design a Reformation memorial for the city of Worms. The Luther statue in the center of the monument has been copied many times and served as a model for numerous Luther monuments in Central Europe and North America.

Bronze and silver statuette of the god Mercury, 13 cm high. It is based on other models such as those found in the Museum of Albacerte or in the Archaeological Museum of Lorca. The god is represented with a winged cap and staff, holding a bag in his right hand. He wears a silver ring around his neck. This figurine would have been part of the gods protecting the household.

A small, limestone figure of the soldier Sa-Djehuty son of Sat-Djehuty from the ancient Egyptian site of Abydos. Excavated by John Garstang in 1908, the statuette was found in tomb 643. It likely dates to the Second Intermediate Period.
Measuring just under 20cm, Sa-Djehuty wears a heavy wig and a kilt with a plain belt. Prior to excavation, the figure was broken and has now been repaired. The appearance of the two parts is noticeably different, with the upper half appearing bleached, while the lower half bears extensive traces of paint around the bands of hieroglyphs. Red paint is visible on the legs and torso.
The text reads “An offering which the King gives to Osiris for the ka of the living one of the town, Sa-Djehuty, born of Sat-Djehuty, by his sister who causes that his name live, the lady of the house, Beki.
Snape (1994) suggests that the kilt is indicative of a military procession, read more here.

Horus bears the markers of youth: the sidelock of hair, the finger held to the mouth, and nudity. He also wears the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt. This object probably dates to the Late or Ptolemaic period.
