A magánélet szférájában ez volt a legfontosabb kultusz. A neki szánt szentély gyakran csak egy kis falfülke volt a lakóház központi részén, ahol elhelyezték Lar és a család által kiemelten tisztelt istenség szobrát, valamint a szertartás eszközeit. Lar gondosan megformált alakját látjuk, jobbját felemeli, bal kezében bőségszarut tart. Arcát babérfüzérrel koszorúzott hullámos hajkorona keretezi.
